Rehabilitation
With the progress in medical technology and aging of the population, the severity and multiplicity of diseases and disorders is increasing every day, and as such the importance of rehabilitation is also increasing rapidly. Previously, rehabilitation was related to motor function disorders and cerebrovascular diseases centered on the nerves, muscles, and skeletal systems; but now, rehabilitation has branched into rehabilitation of respiratory or circulatory systems and cancer rehabilitation as well. Also early rehabilitation, in other words the importance of rehabilitation intervention immediately after operation or onset of disease has also been recognized.
In order to help a person to overcome disorders and be able to live a full life within the community, it is necessary to facilitate communication with the hospital and local medical staff as well as to provide custom rehabilitation suitable for each disorder. Creating and putting such a system into operation is also an important service of the Rehabilitation Department.
