As the final frontier of medicine in the San-in region, we provide high-quality emergency medicine for severe patients.We provide emergency medicine during disasters.

As a university hospital, our hospital has responsibility for educating medical students, nursing students, residents, and doctors. Also, to ensure smooth collaboration with emergency medical organizations and emergency transfer organizations and to improve the level of emergency medicine in the entire area, our hospital is expected to provide training for the staff of these organizations. We have provided seminars on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ICLS), Japan Prehospital Trauma Evaluation and Care (JPTEC), and Japan Advanced Trauma Evaluation and Care (JATEC), and we will be even more active in the future.

Field of expertise

  • Cardiopulmonary arrest (CPA)/shock that requires immediate resuscitation and assistance for airway, breathing, and circulation
  • Severe trauma due to traffic accident, disaster, falling, especially multiple traumas, severe head wound, quadruple amputation, crush syndrome, etc.
  • Acute intoxication and severe burn due to fire/chemical disaster and exposure to toxic materials.
    Cerebrovascular diseases (brain infarction, brain bleeding, subarachnoid bleeding, etc).
  • Acute cardiovascular diseases (acute cardiac infarction, unstable angina, cardiogenic shock, severe cardiac failure, severe arrhythmic episode, dissecting aortic aneurysm, etc.)
  • Severe respiratory failure that require continuous monitoring of respiratory functions
  • Peritonitis and hemorrhagic events that require emergency surgery
  • Severe metabolic disorders such as hepatic failure, renal failure, and diabetes, etc.
