Medical Center for Brain and Mind
There are many cranial nerve diseases and mental disorders that have mutually overlapping segments and there are many diseases that should be examined by multiple departments. Previously, the departments of neurology, neurosurgery, and cranial nerve pediatrics were all housed in the same facility at the Brain Stem-related Disease Research Facility, however the outpatient department was at a separate location. From March of this year, Neuropsychiatry was added to these three diagnoses and treatment departments, and medical treatments are now done side by side in the same center. The hospital feels that it is important to make such efforts so that patients can feel good on consulting with this center.
