Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery
The Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery was established with introduction of the da Vinci Surgical System (da Vinci S), a robot for assisting endoscopic surgery to the university hospital. The purpose of this center is to develop a training system for surgeons, develop new surgical techniques as well as develop new surgical equipment for improving endoscopic surgery and robotic surgery, in cooperation with the medical and surgical departments. Presently, robotic surgeries are available for urology, Women’s medicine, thoracic surgeries, and digestive surgeries.
